Yes it's true...I'm updating!

So it's been a while, and I've heard it from everyone, so I hope you'll all be pleased. Let me just tell you what we've been up to recently...maybe you'll excuse the lack of blogging.

After Kaitlin was born I was recovering from a not so fun birth experience for a good month or more. Then I was trying to figure out how to be a mother of two. It's been great for Addy to not have so much attention and it's given me and Kate some time to bond. Then we sold our house, moved out in early June to live in a friend's home for three weeks until Todd's graduation (woo-hoo Todd...Congratulations!!!), then drove to Utah to visit family and friends, flew to California to visit my family, flew to Washington to start a new adventure...and have been unpacking ever since.

I am glad so many of you want to see and hear what's going on in our family. I am happy to say that we are great!!!

More to come...

Sisters

Addyson loves to hold her sister. She also loves to have her picture taken when she does. These are just a few of them.

Addyson's Third Birthday

We celebrated her birthday at Chuck E Cheese this year. I love doing the party at home but since I brought home a newborn just a week prior, that wasn't going to happen. She and all of her friends had a great time running around with buckets full of tokens. Chuck even made an appearance...and terrified the birthday girl. She scrambled under the table over to her daddy when she saw him coming.

And here is...The Party Pooper!

Kaitlin Judith McArthur

Addyson is so proud of her baby sister. She loves giving her kisses and holding her whenever she gets a chance.

Happy Halloween!

Addy got to be a bumble bee this year and loved to tell people she was going to sting them. She'd turn her booty toward her victum and say, "STING!" She had a blast this year trick-or-treating. She was pretty brave going up to each door or person and saying "trick-or-treat" all by herself.

This is our group of friends that we went out with in our neighborhood. The Penguin is another doctor in the ER...wouldn't you trust him? Addyson was afraid of him at first, but then warmed up to him and eventually needed "Mr. Penguin" to help her up the driveways.

It got late, the buckets got heavy, and the girls got tired. Luckily we had the good ol' Radio Flyer out with us.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch with friends of ours and the kids really had a great time. They picked out and painted their own pumpkins...

Fed the goats...

Posed for pictures...

Went on a hay ride...

Got lost in a corn maze...

And relaxed in the middle of the stalks.

Trips We Took - August, September, October

October - California

My older sister's baby shower. Candi, Mel, Mom, Heather.

Addy and Grandpa Steve out for a day of fishing. That's the one Addy caught. Once she got past the wiggly worms, she did okay.

My ten year high school reunion. We all looked and acted the same. Scarey! When do we grow up?
Addyson with Grandpa and Grandma Schoepf. She had such a blast seeing all of her grandparents within a few weeks. And she loves to fly on airplanes...minus the hurt ears. :(

September - Utah

Utah State Fair...And $40 later, she got a pony ride.

Top of Utah Marathon. Todd ran his first marathon this year! We are all so proud of him. This picture was taken at mile 14, right when the runners come out of the canyon.

Mile 20...and still doing great. After a change of shirt, he was on his way again.

Just feet before the finish line.

The coveted marathon medal...and still a smile on the face.

August - Memphis, TN

We were able to visit our good friends from med school since they had just moved a short ten hour drive from us. It was awesome to see the three girls playing together and of course Thatcher was a doll.

The girls posing in the fountain/river at the Memphis Zoo. It was soooo hot when we visited. We were all happy to have brought their swimsuits, but we should have brought ours too.

The fam in front of the panda bear. He never stopped eating.

All the kids in the water (including Todd and Lynette).
